Our guidelines & policies

Here Below is a list of stuff we do in our salon along with added measures we  have put  into place due to covid 19 pandemic , we ask that you read through carefully and fully commit to our terms when becoming a client in our salon , as you can see when  reading this we are fully committed in providing a safe environment for each of our customers 

* we use a disinfectant solution called barbicide for use of all our tools & equipment before each clients ,you will of seen us use this when we spray our tools down and salon surfaces , Barbicide is EPA (environmental protection agency ) registered hospital grade disinfectant fully biodegradable ,germicidal,fungicidal,virucidal,and pseudomoncidal, product

Of which all our team have done a barbicide covid 19 and health & safety course in covid 19 ..

* fresh towel s and gowns are used for each client and all laundry gets washed at the end of each day

* Hand sanitising stations are throughout our salon for you to use and this will be a requirement upon entrance

* our salon gets a deep clean through out at the end of each day, along with cleaning & disinfected our surfaces inbetween each client

We will not be offering any of the following in the future

* Any dry cuts , all hair must be washed by your stylist before we can carry out any cuts , we feel this is a much cleaner way to work

* No group gathering s on appointments unless you need assistance or in a bubble appointment with your stylist

* Magazines will not be provided for the time being

* all colour consultations must be done 48 hours prior to colour appointments along with skin tests

* our waiting area and reception desk will be out of use until further notice

* 3-4 , 6-8 or 12+ wk colour regrowth hair appointment s only and prices will differ our reason for this is simple ,

A person who has a colour done every 3-4 weeks will have less regrown to someone who comes in 6-8 or 12+ wk therefore should not get charged the same price as we use more colour for the bigger root-age,

if added highlights,conditioning, glossing or toning is required on top of your root service a extra charge will be added 

our online booking system will be open for gift card purchases only as we will not be opening it for online bookings

We will be opening our online booking system on all cuts and you will have a 3 month period of which you can book at one time

All colours & holistic treatments will need to be booked direct with your stylist / therapist

*we do not take in any walk in appointments only

* you can pay using the following methods

* Apple Pay ,

* contactless payments , card machine or bank transfers we are also excepting cash

*If you do still want to tip your stylist / therapist this can be left in the there tip boxes which will be cleaned regular ,

What we will be doing regarding Ppe

* wearing aprons when colouring also spraying ourselves down with dettol spray & wear inbetween each client

* Wearing disposable gloves when colouring

* face shields & masks

* Washing our hands before each client and after

* We have had protective screens put in between the stylist station , one as you walk in at the entrance, and one to protect anyone sat at the the basins as you walk through to the hallway to the treatment rooms

What we require from you

*we do ask that you arrive wearing a face mask this is mandatory to be worn in salons from 8 th august 2020 by law until the time comes that the government says otherwise .unless you are exempt due to medically conditions . your face mask may only be removed during facial treatments

All covid 19 guidelines will be in place and stay in place untill they change by the government 

* all clients upon joining our salon will be sent  this form along with a date protection form via email 

please fill out and send back before your appointment

all health forms will be sent out 24 hours prior to your appointment and chemical consultation forms  sent out 1 week before ,a  pre  skin patch tests will be sent out  when a patch test is done to ensure you are aware of the procedure when you come for your appointment and 48 hours you will recieve your post skin test form to fill out before coming to your scheduled chemical appointment .

 

* please hand sanitize at our station on entering the salon

*if your feeling unwell or showing any symptoms of covid 19 please cancel your appointment please do not come into the salon and have a 10 day cooling off period before re booking this applies also if arrived outside of the uk

* Please only bring essential items with you to your appointment no other belongings will be allowed such as shopping bags or trolley 's nor will any personal belongs be allowed on our stations

a bowl will be provided for a coat and handbag

*no food is to be consumed in the salon unless for medical reason's

* You will be ask to wait outside until your stylist / therapist lets you in for your appointment ,please stick to social distancing rules

.* while in the salon Please keep to the social distance and remain seated at your stylist/ therapist stations when paying

the new guidelines that have been carefully put into place by ourselves along with guidelines for our industry are strict and must be adhered to by all parties within the salon at all times

*we do have a 24 hours cancellations policy in all appointments

we have to put something in place to cover loss of earning s on last minute cancellation's 

so if this notice is not given a 50 % charge of service will be payable and a stop on all future bookings until this amount has been paid, reoccurring missed appointments ,sadly you will not be allowed to make any further bookings . no shows for appointments or change of service on the day sadly will still be charged in full of original service as i hope you can appreciate the time slot has already been set for you .

we have to set boundaries within our business to protect all our self employed members here at gemini hair & retreat. its not only a career because we love it but its how we make our living and pays our bills , may sound harsh but we have to protect our self employed team members as time wasted is not money earned

* we welcome everyone into our salon with open arms , all genders are welcome and we ask all clients to be respectful of this while attending

*we ask that you update your profiles s on our systems when asked to ensure all details are correct

*when a appointment is booked you will receive a confirmation via email along with any forms to be completed via our booking system .

Then a text message reminder a few days before .

All data collected is protected and kept safe within our system and used according to the data protection act 2018 , and of which we pay a yearly data protection & cctv license for,

making sure you details are correct is particular important for the future to enable us to contact anyone if needed if we do ever have a client who has been in contact with anyone with covid 19 .and for the nhs track & trace app ,

we will only send any updates about the salon ,forms and confirmation's of appointments

****Important ****

We can not stress how important is is to have and attend you skin allergy tests appointment

If you are thinking of changing your colour in any way , you will need to book a colour consultation with your stylist at least 48 hours before your scheduled colour appointment (these cost £10 but will be deducted from your colour service , if for any reason you do have to cancel sadly this will not be refunded ) this allows your stylist to take any further strand tests and to appropriate skin testing

failure to do so will lead into appointments being cancelled by your stylist /therapist
